This week I read a fantastic article by Jeff Sandefer titled
Living Life as an Entrepreneurial Hero, where he highlights the
importance of dreaming big and taking small steps to making that dream a
reality. He gives comfort to those who
might not have a clear goal, by teaching that you can start perfecting those
things that you are already good at. Sometimes
asking family members and those close to you they can help you discover those
special talents that you possess. Great,
let’s get started!
As a read the article I quickly became discouraged because I
discovered that I have no talent! I know
what you must be thinking, “Everyone has a talent.” Well although very true, I have yet to
discover mine. I decided that I cannot
ask my mother because she looks at me through rose colored glasses! My husband sweetly smiled and had no response. Am I really that involved in my day to day
chores that I do not allow myself time to show others things that I truly
enjoy?
Well fortunately I can think of a handful of things that I
have found joy in doing even though they are things I have only done or tried
once or twice. I figure that I now must
give myself the time to begin with the baby-steps mentioned in the article and
find out if those things really can develop into talents. I think I would even dare to say that my
first-baby step is that of self-discovery!
